DirectOuts compact and multifunctional audio processor PRODIGY.MP offers maximum flexibility and is designed to address numerous applications in live sound, broadcast, installation and recording. The German manufacturer cleverly combines the modular design of the PRODIGY series with powerful FPGA-based signal processing. Users have access to matrix mixers, summing busses and flex channels with EQ, dynamics, delay and external plug-ins. Flex channels can be configured as input/pre faders or output/post faders.
PRODIGY.MP can simultaneously host two network audio modules that support Dante, RAVENNA/AES67 or SoundGrid allowing for seamless interoperability between different network formats. For example, channel-by-channel connections between a Dante and a RAVENNA network are possible.
Two MADI slots can be equipped with BNC, SC or SFP modules. Four 8-channel converter slots complete the audio I/Os with analog line level, microphone and AES3 module options and increase the channel capacity to a total of 416 inputs/420 outputs. With comprehensive sync management and sample rate conversion for MADI I/Os and AES3 I/Os, PRODIGY.MP is equipped to meet almost any challenge.
The globcon control software offers full control of the PRODIGY series and many other DirectOut devices and enables uniform and coherent operation. globcon features a comprehensive snapshot management with selective recall scope-sets. It also supports trigger management which includes OSC and MIDI for control e.g. from a tablet device. The power of PRODIGY.MP is extended by accessing Smaart from Rational Acoustics via API.
The PRODIGY series and globcon will be shown at the DirectOut Stand 7-V224 at the ISE in Amsterdam.
