Configuration → Device
The 'Fan' panel gives you detailled information about the current temperature and fan state as well as a simple way to configure the device's fans.
The current temperature is indicated by the horizontal position of the blue dot in the graph, the fan level by its vertical position. It travels along the line that connects the green, yellow and red dots.
You can either drag the green, yellow and red dots along the upper and lower horizontal borders of the graph, or enter the desired temperature levels in the text fields below. Changing the settings will become effective immediately.
If the fans are off, they will spin up every 30 minutes to a medium level for a few seconds.
If the device has to be totally silent (no fan rotation ever), you can enable silent mode. Please monitor the temperature of the device to prevent it from being damaged. Temperature over 60 degrees Celsius for longer periods are harmful.
Note: The device's temperature is written to a permanent logfile. If you run the device above 60 degrees for longer periods, this might void your warranty!
