The firmware update can be initialized via the Soundgrid driver control panel in one of the Waves applications (QRec, Soundgrid Studio, eLV1).
- Connect EXBOX.SG to your PC/Mac and start your Waves application.
- After selecting EXBOX.SG as one of your I/O devices, please right click on the driver icon for the unit and select 'Assign Soundgrid MIDI driver'.
- Now open globcon go to Settings > Preferences > MIDI (EXBOX.SG), enable the Discovery button and add the MIDI driver by click the '+' icon below the field showing the assigned MIDI drivers.
- Select the driver named 'SG Device I/O' and click 'Apply'. The device appears in the 'My devices' tree on the left.
- Click on the icon to activate the plugin in globcon. Now you can enter the clock settings and routing options.
When Microsoft Remote Desktop is used, the Soundgrid MIDI drivers will be 'occupied' by the Windows remote app - no matter their activation state in the Waves application.
To solve the issue, please:
- Open the Remote Desktop Connection window (mstsc.exe).
- Press "Show Options" to access the advanced settings menu.
- Switch to the 'Local Resources' tab.
- Look for the 'Remote audio' section, then press the "Settings..." button to configure audio settings
- Under 'Remote Audio Playback' change to ‘Play on remote computer’
